It’s targeted at therapists. I’m not a therapist, I just go to therapy sometimes. I think the biggest benefit for me was hearing lots of examples of what people talk about in therapy. It’s also interesting hearing how therapists think about therapy. Understanding the therapist’s goals and tactics helps me see why my therapist asks me certain questions, and how I can help them help me. I don’t buy some of the content, especially about dream interpretation. The style of the book is very easy to read. It’s broken into bite-sized pieces of concrete advice, which I like.
