The Fellowship of the Ring

So excellent. This is the second time I’ve read the book (the first being in middle school). The pacing is much better than I remember. And of course the setting is just about the richest of any book. I really like how subtle magic is in this series. People and artifacts have power, but it’s not flashy and it’s never explicitly described. It makes the magic more mysterious and enticing.
