Touches on a ton of deeply interesting ideas. The first half is a strange experience, as he argues against the methods by which he is arguing (This book has a lot of self-reference). It gets more repetitive near the end.

Second reading: I listened to the audiobook this time, after reading Strong Towns by Charles Marohn. Strong Towns mentioned The Black Swam pretty often in the context of fragile vs robust cities, towns and neighborhoods.
This is the kind of book that’s good to listen to on audiobook. It’s repetitive and meandering, but there’s usually something interesting at any given point. Basically: don’t be so sure of what you know, don’t assume your models are appropriate, don’t ignore outliers.
