You’ve got about as many microbes in/on you as your own cells. Microbes are responsible for a lot, both good and bad. Your microbiome is like an ecosystem and just as complicated. “Good” and “bad” microbes are contextual. Neutral microbes do the job of crowding out harmful ones. Many many animals are symbiotic with specific microbes.

I learned a lot of fun facts but the big picture was the most valuable. It was kind of boring and repetitive to get that big picture, though.
