After Michael Crichton died, his wife compiled his notes on volcanoes, and James Patterson turned them into a book. Chapters are about 3 pages long and exciting. Full of fun science about volcanoes, Hawaii, etc. Had a great time reading it, and its format makes it easy to pick up and put down. Nothing profound in here, but I like that sometimes.
