I enjoyed the first part. I thought it was a really accurate portrayal of your first gay romance: obsession, fantasizing, reading way too much into things, ignoring your feelings, finally putting things into words, shame, disappointment, and eventually some personal growth.
But all the characters are so pretentious, and I can hardly stand it. Lighten up a little. And maybe say things directly for once.
